As an independent ECG interpreter,
Are you aware that the OMI–NOMI paradigm is superior to the outdated STEMI–NSTEMI framework for identifying patients who truly need immediate cath lab activation?
Did you know that up to 34% of NSTEMI cases actually have a total coronary occlusion — and are being missed by current STEMI criteria?
Are you confident in recognising these high-risk NSTEMIs that don’t meet STEMI thresholds, but still require immediate intervention?
Do you understand the challenges of applying OMI principles in a system still based on the traditional STEMI–NSTEMI paradigm?
If the answer to any of the above is 'Yes', this is a rare opportunity to explore a fundamentally different approach to ischaemic ECG interpretation — one that will help you identify acute total coronary occlusions earlier and more accurately.
This 3 hour webinar aims to introduce the most disruptive innovation in ischaemic ECG interpretation — the OMI–NOMI paradigm — to clinicians in acute specialties such as A&E and Acute Medicine.
Even though the literature now shows that the OMI paradigm is superior to STEMI for detecting acute coronary occlusions — with significantly greater sensitivity and diagnostic accuracy — many clinicians still don’t feel knowledgeable enough to apply it in clinical practice.
A low-cost, high-impact webinar — designed to change your practice in just 3 hours.
Understand the limitations of the STEMI–NSTEMI paradigm, and why it is being replaced by the OMI–NOMI framework.
Learn cutting-edge advances in ischaemic ECG interpretation that are rarely taught in traditional ECG courses.
Review real-life cases where early recognition of OMI — or failure to recognise it — directly impacted clinical outcomes.
Practice interpreting ECGs that appear normal but are deceptively diagnostic for OMI.
Explore the real-world challenges of applying OMI in systems still operating under the STEMI–NSTEMI model.
Consistently highly reviewed, niche ECG courses — specifically designed to be practice-changing for independent ECG interpreters in Senior Decision Maker roles.
Despite growing evidence that the OMI–NOMI paradigm is superior to the traditional STEMI–NSTEMI framework, many clinicians do not use it — either because they have not heard of it or don’t know enough to apply it confidently in clinical practice.
One likely reason is that, although these insights have been around for over a decade, they are still considered relatively new in mainstream practice — much of this highly advanced knowledge remains within the ECG enthusiast community and hasn’t yet made its way into traditional ECG teaching.
That’s exactly why we’ve created this low-cost, high-impact session: to make the fundamentals of OMI–NOMI accessible to more clinicians, so they can apply it confidently in everyday practice.
And start recognising acute coronary occlusions hours before the ST elevates.

This webinar has been deliberately priced to remain accessible to as many clinicians as possible, both in the UK and internationally. The OMI–NOMI paradigm represents a major shift in ischaemic ECG interpretation, and the goal is to accelerate its uptake across all relevant specialties.
Practical ECG Courses has a long-standing tradition of providing free, high-quality ECG teaching — including full-day online workshops — in support of this mission. This particular session was also originally intended to be free. However, previous experience with large scale free open-access events revealed key challenges: high absenteeism without notice (leading to wasted slots), widespread link-sharing across countries, and increased administrative burden, particularly on the day of the event.
To address these challenges, a nominal fee has been introduced — to preserve session integrity, ensure a committed delegate group, and streamline the administrative workload.
The teaching remains of the highest standard — niche, highly specialised, and consistently practice-changing. Whether or not you’ve previously encountered the OMI–NOMI paradigm, you’ll leave with a clear, working understanding of its principles — and the confidence to apply it on your very next ECG.
This session is designed for clinicians working in acute specialties — particularly Emergency Medicine and Acute Medicine — who interpret ECGs independently.
A working knowledge of basic ECG interpretation is expected, including familiarity with common STEMI and NSTEMI patterns seen in the ED.
The content is structured to benefit ECG interpreters across all experience levels. Whether you’re early in your ECG journey or have years of experience, you’ll gain valuable, practice-changing insights from the OMI–NOMI approach.
Unfortunately the live teaching session will not be recorded as recording a session inevitably brings down the interactiveness of the delegates. As I base my discussions almost entirely around the interpretation of the delegates, recording the session is something that directly impacts the quality of the session.
In addition, the workshop is meant to serve as a safe space for physicians in senior roles to practice ECG interpretation. In order to provide an ambience of psychological safety to all delegates, it is vital that the delegates have the freedom to express their interpretation without the fear of being recorded.
As this is a low-cost session designed to be accessible to as many clinicians as possible — and to keep admin work streamlined — all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Please ensure you’re able to attend before registering.
If you’re unable to attend for any reason, the registration fee cannot be carried forward to future events.
Certificates of attendance (2.5 CPD hours) will be issued only to delegates who selected the “Webinar Access + Certificate” ticket during registration.
If you chose the “Webinar Access Only” ticket, a certificate will not be issued.
If you did not opt for a certificate at the time of registration but later decide you need one, a £7.50 admin fee (plus platform charges) will apply. This request must be made before the end of the day on the date of the webinar.
Certificates will be emailed within 10 working days of the session.
